WiTWA is a Perth-based, not for profit organisation providing a framework for women in tech [+] to extend their networks and expand their knowledge.

Established in 1998, WiTWA was formed as a network to support women who found themselves in heavily male-dominated industries. First incorporated as ‘Women in IT WA’ in 2005, we re-branded to ‘‘Women in Technology WA’ in 2010 and added the [+] in 2019 to acknowledge the range of backgrounds in our organisation who use and advocate for tech everyday. 

With over 3,000 supporters and counting; WiTWA operates as a mission-driven, not-for-profit network under the governance of a highly experienced group of women who are veritable champions for diversity and equality for women in tech [+] in WA.

 DDD Perth is Perth's largest community run conference for the tech community. Their goal is to create an approachable event that appeals to the whole community, especially people that don't normally get to attend or speak at conferences. The conference is run on a Saturday, and strives to be inclusive of everyone in the Perth tech community.

Furthermore, DDD Perth aims to both create opportunities for underrepresented minorities, juniors and first-time speakers to present as well as influence the wider software industry to encourage such opportunities more broadly.

 The INCITE Awards is WA’s longest running Tech Awards Program (since 1991) and the premier event in ICT for our State. The program showcase’s and supports ICT innovators in WA through an Awards system that places their technology innovation on the national and global stage. 

 Every year, the INCITE Awards receive hundreds of entries from tech innovators across all ages and industry sectors. The program involves a mentored pitch fest, judging presentation, an Awards gala event, and a national / international pathway for selected entries. 

 Female Coders Collective is a Meetup group which aims to provide a psychologically safe environment for female developers and surrounding IT professionals to come together and share knowledge, ideas, tutorials and code.

Perth AFC is a Futsal and Football club which was formed in 2017. 

West Tech Fest is Australia’s premier tech festival providing opportunities for the local startup and tech community to connect with and hear from global leaders as they share insights into how to grow a successful business.

ACS is the leading professional association with over 40,000 members representing Australia’s technology community, across industry, government and education.

 The KALEIDOSCOPE Initiative is all about harnessing the economic benefits of migration by supporting newcomers to obtain employment in their field of expertise and building the capacity of employers to reap the rewards of a diverse workforce.

 She Codes Australia, inspires, connects and teaches women within the technical industry.

Their goal is to inspire 100,000 women by 2025 by teaching technical skills, connecting women to career pathways, and working with fantastic partners.

 The WA Data Science Innovation Hub (WADSIH) is a joint partnership between the WA State Government and Curtin University. WADSIH’s goal is to ensure the State remains at the forefront of the digital revolution by increasing the uptake, education, training and awareness of data science in Western Australia. 

 WADSIH’s mission is to support the development of a data driven ecosystem and culture by fostering collaboration, promoting expertise, advocating for and enabling data literacy across the community, industry, academia and government.
